I am still slowly working on reorganizing the showroom between projects, and I thought I would share with you all this neat stopwatch I keep walking past. The stopwatch was retailed by Birns & Sawyer<\/a>, a legendary Hollywood equipment rental and manufacturing company, and made for them by an historic German watch maker called Hanhart<\/a>. The stopwatch, which is identified as a Studio model, has four dials on the face. The dials are unlabeled as to their function, but I am pretty sure that the black scale counts seconds. The inner small black scale moves one division every 60 seconds. It also has red markings at the 12 and 24 divisions, maybe for warning that you are coming up on the end of a 1000\u2019 film load? The inner green dial counts from 0 to 36, which I think refers to 36 feet of 16mm film per each one minute of run time. The outer red dial counts from 0 to 90, which I think refers to 90 feet of 35mm film per one minute of run time. Have any of you used one of these? Does anyone have a user\u2019s guide for this interesting stopwatch? I would love to have a copy if you do and would love to know more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
