Newly arrived are some very interesting modern anamorphic lenses, most with PL mounts. We have two cine anamorphic lenses manufactured by Vazen with a 1.8x anamorphic squeeze: a 40mm T2 featuring an E mount and a 65mm T2 featuring a PL mount (a PL to E mt adapter is also included). According to factory specs, both of these lenses will cover Super35 with an aspect ratio of 2.39:1. Also in the Vazen line of cine anamorphic lenses is a 50mm T2 lens in PL mount with an included PL to RF mt adapter. This lens also features the 1.8x anamorphic squeeze. The 50mm lens covers full-frame sensors like the ARRI ALEXA LF 8K open gate camera. All three of these Vazen lenses feature focus and T-stop gears, have a consistent front element diameter of 95mm, and accept 86mm threaded filters and accessories. Additionally, we have two lenses manufactured by Blazar in their Great Joy line of 1.8x cine anamorphic lenses. We have a 50mm T2.9 lens in PL mount and an 85mm T2.9 lens in PL mount. According to factory specifications, the 50mm covers an aperture of 33mm x 24mm and supports full frame capture with some side cropping for a 2.4:1 de-squeezed image. The 85mm, according to factory specs, covers a 36mm x 24mm aperture and supports full frame capture with some side cropping for a 2.4:1 de-squeezed image. Both of these Great Joy lenses feature focus and T-stop gears, a consistent 85mm front diameter, and accept 82mm threaded filters and accessories. Available now: https://bit.ly/4cI6Jrh
