One of the most outstanding pieces of film gear from Lucky Brown’s collection was this complete Twentieth Century-Fox Cine Simplex camera. This camera came with all of the accessories, including the matte box, eyebrow, sidefinder, magazines, the full set of Baltar lenses, automatic slating device, eyepiece, follow focus, and pretty much all of the other things that were part of the original camera package. I didn’t get a chance to work on this camera, but I am delighted to have sold it to a dear friend and collector who plans to fully restore this camera, and hopefully shoot with it. That warms my heart. It’s a little sad to let it go without working on it, but I know it’s going into good hands. Here are a few pictures of the camera in its new home, and before the work begins.
