I was away much of the week doing my civic duty as a potential juror, so actual projects were on hold once again. In between waiting in the jury room and freedom, this absolutely stunning collection of motion picture cameras and equipment came into the shop. We only have time to give you a brief first look, but there will be many, many more posts about these pieces in the near future. This collection belonged to five-time Emmy Award winning photojournalist, author, and owner of the Philadelphia, PA video rental firm Videosmith, Steven Trent Smith. His wife Martha contacted us a few weeks ago and generously helped arrange for us to take in his stunning collection to find new homes for his prized pieces. I only had time to briefly glance at everything as it was unpacked, but despite a few cobwebs from being in storage, this equipment has obviously been lovingly collected and cared for.
