We have just received this wonderful, but in need of much love, Mitchell spinning mirror reflex BNCR, serial #136. So far, we are unable to decipher who the original owner was, but we know that it was first purchased in 1954. Unfortunately, this camera was stored poorly and suffers from petrified grease, minor corrosion and rust, major crunchiness in most of the bearings, and much of the dreaded tape residue, along with some missing upholstery. As a future project, this camera and blimp will have to be completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, re-lubricated, and put back into working order. We won’t be able to start on it immediately, but hopefully soon.
