Unlike its contemporaries, the model H camera racked the movement over between the shooting position and the viewfinding position, removing the problem of moving the mass of the camera from one position to another.
Other unique features of this camera include the variable shutter system, the thoughtfully designed viewfinding system, and the old style variable speed motor with its giant wire-wound resistor speed control.
